Pharmascience Canada adds an anti-fibrotic and anti-inflammatory agent to its offering

Pharmascience Canada is pleased with the launch of pms-PIRFENIDONE (pirfenidone), indicated for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in adults. These 267 mg and 801 mg tablets can reduce inflammation and fibrosis in the lungs and slow down the worsening of IPF.
Pms-PIRFENIDONE, the generic equivalent to PrESBRIET^®, has the same safety and efficacy profiles as the brand. This generic drug is available to Canadian patients at a lower price. Patients will also be eligible for financial assistance (outside Quebec).
